Student Roles in Barrington Dance Ensemble’s 2026 Nutcracker Production

Auditions

Sunday, August 30th at the Barrington Dance Academy

  • 12:00-12:30 Ages 6-7 (must be 6 by 9/1/26)

  • 12:45-1:30 Ages 8-10

  • 1:45-2:30 Ages 11-13

  • 2:45-3:30 Ages 14 & up

Performance Dates

December 4th, 7:00pm, December 5th, 2:00pm & 7:00pm and December 6th, 2:00pm at Barrington High School Auditorium

Production Week

November 29th - December 6th

Audition Information

  • Casting male and female dancers. Auditions are open to dancers that are currently enrolled in ballet at BDA or another dance studio.
  • Dancers should arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time listed above.

  • Dancers must register online at barringtondance.org. $20 audition registration fee is due, cash or check payable to BDE.

  • All scheduled rehearsals are mandatory. If cast, Dancers MUST be available for all scheduled rehearsals and performances.

  • Rehearsals are held every Sunday from September 13th-November 22nd at Barrington Dance Academy. (Including District 220 long weekends )

  • Tech/dress rehearsals will be held November 29th through December 3rd at the Barrington High School.

  • Most children will be cast in 2 performances, however, some may be asked to participate in all 4 performances if needed.
